Abstract

Glaukoma merupakan penyebab kebutaan permanen terbesar kedua di dunia setelah katarak. Kerusakan penglihatan akibat penyakit ini berpotensi menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien secara signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara jenis terapi dengan kualitas hidup pasien glaukoma di Pusat Mata Nasional RS Mata Cicendo, Kota Bandung. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan potong lintang (cross-sectional). Sampel terdiri atas 95 pasien glaukoma yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sesuai kriteria inklusi. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI VFQ-25) yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden menjalani terapi medikamentosa (42,1%), diikuti terapi laser (30,5%) dan pembedahan (27,4%). Kualitas hidup pasien terbagi dalam kategori baik (44,2%) dan kurang (55,8%). Berdasarkan uji Chi-Square diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,382 (p>0,05), yang mengindikasikan tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara jenis terapi dengan kualitas hidup pasien glaukoma. Kesimpulannya, jenis terapi tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas hidup, sehingga faktor lain di luar terapi diperkirakan lebih berperan dalam menentukan kondisi pasien. ------ Glaucoma is the second leading cause of permanent blindness in the world after cataracts. Vision loss due to this disease has the potential to significantly reduce the quality of life of patients. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the type of therapy and the quality of life of glaucoma patients at the National Eye Center, Cicendo Eye Hospital, Bandung. The study design used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 95 glaucoma patients selected using purposive sampling techniques according to the inclusion criteria. The research instrument was the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI VFQ-25), which has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test with the help of SPSS version 24 software. The results showed that the majority of respondents underwent drug therapy (42.1%), followed by laser therapy (30.5%) and surgery (27.4%). The quality of life of patients was divided into good (44.2%) and poor (55.8%) categories. Based on the Chi-Square test, a significance value of 0.382 (p>0.05) was obtained, indicating no significant relationship between the type of therapy and the quality of life of glaucoma patients. In conclusion, the type of therapy did not have a significant effect on quality of life, suggesting that other factors outside of therapy likely play a greater role in determining patient condition.
