Abstract

Jahe merah dan lidah buaya merupakan tanaman yang berkhasiat sebagai antibakteri. Perlu dilakukan formulasi sediaan sabun cair yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri untuk mengkombinasikan jahe merah dan lidah buaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formulasi sediaan sabun cair kombinasi jahe merah dan lidah buaya, mengetahui konsentrasi optimum ekstrak jahe merah yang dikombinasikan dengan lidah buaya sebagai sabun antibakteri. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan jahe merah dan lidah buaya dapat dikombinasikan menjadi sediaan sabun cair yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Hasil yang diperoleh pada pengukuran diameter zona hambat ekstrak jahe merah sebesar 6,1 mm, 6,5 mm, 6.8 mm, 7,1 mm, 7,5 mm, dan 7,9 mm. Hasil yang diperoleh pada pengukuran diameter zona hambat sabun ekstrak jahe merah 5%, 10%, dan 15% dengan kombinasi 10 gram lidah buaya adalah 23 mm, 23 mm, dan 24 mm. Analisis pH sabun cair ekstrak jahe merah dan lidah buaya tidak memenuhi persyaratan SNI. ---- Red ginger and aloe vera were know as plants that have antibacterial properties. It is necessary to formulate liquid soap preparations that have antibacterial activity to combine red ginger and aloe vera. This study aims to formulate a liquid soap preparation with a combination of red ginger and aloe vera, to determine the optimum concentration of red ginger extract combined with aloe vera as an antibacterial soap. The results of research that have been carried out by red ginger and aloe vera can be combined into liquid soap preparations that have antibacterial activity. The results obtained in the measurement of the diameter of the red ginger extract bland zone amounted to 6.1 mm, 6.5 mm, 6.8 mm, 7.1 mm.. 7.5 mm, and 7.9 mm. The results obtained by measuring the inhibition zone diameter of 5%, 10%, and 15% red ginger extract soap with a combination of 10 grams of aloe vera were 23 mm, 23 mm, and 24 mm. The pH analysis of liquid soap extracts of red ginger and aloe vera did not meet the requirements of SNI.
