Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pakan ayam broiler dengan penambahan ampas hasil proses ekstraksi kunyit (Curcuma domestica) sebagai aditif alami antikoksidial. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan, yaitu kontrol negatif (tanpa aditif), kontrol positif (dengan antibiotik sulfaquinoxaline), dan perlakuan sampel (dengan penambahan ampas ekstraksi kunyit). Parameter yang diamati meliputi mutu fisik pakan (organoleptik dan kadar air), konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, Average Daily Gain (ADG), serta Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ampas ekstraksi kunyit menghasilkan mutu fisik pakan yang sesuai standar dengan nilai ADG tertinggi sebesar 3,07 g/ekor/hari dan nilai FCR terendah sebesar 17,98, dibandingkan dengan kontrol positif dan negatif. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa ampas ekstraksi kunyit berpotensi sebagai aditif pakan alami yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pertumbuhan ayam broiler melalui perbaikan metabolisme dan penyerapan nutrisi. Namun demikian, diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk menentukan dosis dan formulasi optimal agar efektivitasnya dapat lebih stabil serta aplikatif pada skala industri peternakan. ------ This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of broiler feed supplemented with turmeric (Curcuma domestica) extraction residue as a natural anticoccidial additive. The research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments: a negative control (without additives), a positive control (with sulfaquinoxaline antibiotic), and a sample treatment (with turmeric extraction residue). The observed parameters included feed physical quality (organoleptic and moisture content), feed intake, body weight gain, Average Daily Gain (ADG), and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The results showed that feed supplemented with turmeric extraction residue met quality standards, yielding the highest ADG value of 3.07 g/bird/day and the lowest FCR value of 17.98, compared to both control groups. These findings indicate that turmeric extraction residue has the potential to serve as a natural feed additive that enhances broiler growth efficiency through improved metabolism and nutrient absorption. Nevertheless, further research is required to determine the optimal dosage and formulation to ensure consistent efficacy and practical application on an industrial scale.
