Abstract
Tabir surya adalah salah satu sediaan kosmetik yang digunakan untuk membaurkan atau menyerap secara efektif sinar UV sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya efek negatif terhadap kulit. Efektifitas dari suatu sediaan krim tabir surya dapat ditunjukkan dengan nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF). Aktivitas antioksidan berperan dalam menghambat reaksi oksidasi dengan mengikatkan radikal bebas dan molekul reaktif yang dapat merusak sel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai SPF dan aktivitas antioksidan dari krim ekstrak etanol daun sawo walanda (Pouteria campechiana (Kunth.) Baehni.). Penelitian ini diawali dengan pembuatan krim tabir surya, uji evaluasi sediaan krim yang meliputi uji organoleptis, uji pH, uji homogenitas, uji viskositas, uji daya sebar dan uji daya lekat. Sediaan krim tabir surya dilakuan penentuan Nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF) dan penetapan aktivitas antioksidan. Pada penyimpanan selama 28 hari sediaan krim tabir surya telah memenuhi persyaratan evaluasi fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, uji pH, uji homogenitas, uji viskositas, uji daya sebar dan uji daya lekat. Penentuan Nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF) pada sediaan krim F1 sebesar 8,17 menunjukkan proteksi ekstra, F2 sebesar 11,12 menunjukkan proteksi maksimal dan F3 sebesar 15,15 menunjukkan proteksi maksimal. Berdasarkan nilai IC50 sediaan krim F1 (2,31 bpj), F2 (2,51 bpj) dan F3 (2,17 bpj) pada setiap formula memiliki kategori antioksidan sangat kuat. --- Sunscreen is one of the cosmetic preparations used to blend or absorb effectively UV rays, so as to prevent negative effects on the skin. The effectiveness of a sunscreen cream preparation can be shown by the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) value. Antioxidant activity plays a role in inhibiting oxidation reactions by binding free radicals and reactive molecules that can damage cells. The purpose of this study was to determine the SPF value and antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract cream of sawo walanda leaves (Pouteria campechiana (Kunth.) Baehni.). This research began with the manufacture of sunscreen cream, evaluation tests of cream preparations which include organoleptis tests, pH tests, homogeneity tests, viscosity tests, dispersion tests and adhesion tests. Sunscreen cream preparations are carried out to determine the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) Value and determine antioxidant activity. At 28 days of storage, the sunscreen cream preparation has met the physical evaluation requirements including organoleptis test, pH test, homogeneity test, viscosity test, dispersion test and adhesion test. Determination of Sun Protection Factor (SPF) value in F1 cream preparation of 8.17 indicates extra protection, F2 of 11.12 indicates maximum protection and F3 of 15.15 indicates maximum protection. Based on the IC50 value of F1 (2.31 ppm), F2 (2.51 ppm) and F3 (2.17 ppm) cream preparations in each formula have a very strong antioxidant category.
