Abstract

Isolat mangostin merupakan senyawa yang ditemukan paling dominan pada kulit buah manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.). Senyawa ini memiliki beberapa aktivitas farmakologis seperti antibakteri, antifungal, antioksidan, dan bioaktivitas lainnya. Sekolah Tinggi Farmasi Indonesia (STFI) telah memproduksi isolat mangostin dengan skala yang besar dan memiliki efisiensi produk yang tinggi. Isolat mangostin tersebut diproduksi untuk dapat digunakan oleh industri industri farmasi sebagai bahan baku obat. Untuk memastikan dan meyakinkan mutu dari isolat yang dihasilkan maka perlu dilakukan pengujian kualitas, salah satunya adalah pengujian stabilitas umur simpan dari isolat mangostin produk STFI. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan proses validasi metode pengukuran dengan menggunakan instrumen HPLC, selanjutnya dilakukan metode uji stabilitas dipercepat (accelerated) dengan menggunakan kondisi penyimpanan yang melebihi kondisi umum yaitu penyimpanan selama 6 bulan (frekuensi pengujian bulan ke- 0, 3, dan 6) pada suhu 40C ± 2C/75% RH ± 5% RH. Metode uji stabilitas dipercepat tersebut digunakan untuk mendapatkan data umur simpan isolat mangostin produk STFI. Pada penelitian ini dihasilkan data validasi metode yang dilakukan telah memenuhi syarat dan masa umur simpan isolat mangostin produk STFI yaitu selama 6 tahun 1 bulan. --- Isolate mangostin is the most dominant compound found in mangosteen fruit peel (Garcinia mangostana L.). This compound has several pharmacological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, and other bioactivities. Sekolah Tinggi Farmasi Indonesia (STFI) has produced mangostin isolate on a large scale and has high product efficiency. The mangostine isolate is produced to be used by pharmacy industries as a material for drugs. To ensure the quality of the isolate, it is necessary to conduct quality testing, one of the test is the shelf life stability testing of STFI’s mangostine isolate. In this study, the measurement method validation process was carried out using HPLC instruments, the accelerated stability test method was using storage conditions that exceed the general conditions, namely storage for 6 months (frequency of testing months 0, 3, and 6) at a temperature of 40°C ± 2°C/75% RH ± 5% RH. The accelerated stability test method was used to obtain data on the shelf life of STFI product mangostin isolate. This study resulted in method validation data that met the requirements and the shelf life of STFI product mangostin isolate was 6 years and 1 month.
