Abstract

Ubi jalar Cilembu merupakan komoditas yang cukup tinggi di Jawa Barat. Ubi jalar Cilembu memiliki kandungan pati yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan eksipien tablet. Oleh sebab itu, untuk meningkatkan nilai jual ubi jalar Cilembu dan upaya menuju kemandirian bahan baku, pati ubi jalar Cilembu dibuat sebagai eksipien tablet. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memanfaatkan ubi jalar Cilembu sebagai bahan pengisi tablet kempa langsung. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pembuatan granul pati ubi jalar Cilembu dengan variasi mesh 24 dan mesh 80. Formulasi tablet ibuprofen dengan metode kempa langsung dan mengevaluasinya. Formula tablet ibuprofen yaitu menggunakan bahan pengisi dengan variasi konsentrasi 42%, 32%, dan 22%. Bahan pengikat dengan variasi konsentrasi 11%, 21%, dan 31%. Bahan penghancur dan lubrikan 2%, serta glidan 3%. Adapun kontrol positif tablet ibuprofen menggunakan bahan pengisi laktosa. Hasil evaluasi granul pati ubi Cilembu pada uji kadar air, laju alir dan sudut istirahat memenuhi persyaratan Farmakope Indonesia. Tablet ibuprofen yang menggunakan pati ubi Cilembu pada pengujian keseragaman ukuran, uji kerapuhan tablet, kekerasan tablet dengan bahan pengisi laktosa konsentrasi 22% belum memenuhi persyaratan Farmakope Indonesia. Disolusi tablet ibuprofen menunjukkan pada tablet ibuprofen dengan bahan pengisi laktosa konsentrasi 22% terdisolusi sebanyak 74,0630% dalam 60 menit sehingga belum memenuhi persyaratan Farmakope Indonesia. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa evaluasi pati ubi jalar Cilembu memenuhi persyaratan Farmakope Indonesia. Tablet ibuprofen dengan metode kempa langsung menggunakan bahan pengisi ubi jalar Cilembu belum memenuhi semua persyaratan evaluasi tablet. --- Cilembu sweet potatoes are a relatively high-value commodity in West Java.Cilembu sweet potatoes contain starch, which can be used as a tablet excipient. In order to increase the sales value of Cilembu sweet potatoes and strive for raw material independence, Cilembu sweet potato starch was therefore produced as a tablet excipient. The purpose of this study was to utilize Cilembu sweet potato as a filler for direct compression tablets. The research method used was the preparation of Cilembu sweet potato starch granules with 24 mesh and 80 mesh variations, the formulation of ibuprofen tablets by direct compression method and their evaluation. The ibuprofen tablet formula uses fillers with various 42%, 32% and 22% concentrations. Binder uses concentrations of 11%, 21%, and 31%; disintegrant and lubricant of 2%; glidant of 3%. The positive control for ibuprofen tablets uses lactose as a filler. The evaluation results of Cilembu sweet potato starch granules on the test of water content, flow rate and angle of repose complied with the requirements of the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia. Ibuprofen tablets using Cilembu yam starch in the size uniformity test, tablet friability test, and tablet hardness with 22% concentration of lactose filler did not meet the requirements of the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia. The dissolution of ibuprofen tablets showed that in ibuprofen tablets with 22% lactose as filler, 74.0630% dissolved in 60 minutes, so they did not meet the requirements of the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia. It can be concluded that the evaluation of Cilembu sweet potato starch meets the requirements of the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia. Ibuprofen tablets using the direct compression method using Cilembu sweet potato fillers did not meet all the requirements for tablet evaluation.
