Abstract
Penelitian mengenai formulasi spray gel perasan jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantiifolia [Christm.] Swingle) sebagai antibakteri komplikasi dekubitus telah dilakukan. Pada penelitian ini dibuat tiga formula spray gel perasan jeruk nipis yaitu formula 1, formula 2, dan formula 3 dengan variasi konsentrasi karbopol berturut-turut 0,5%; 0,75%; 1% sebagai gelling agent. Evaluasi yang dilakukan terhadap sediaan spray gel diantaranya organoleptis, penetapan pH, viskositas, daya sebar, kondisi semprotan, sifat ketahanan melekat, waktu kering, dan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri sediaan spray gel. Uji aktivitas antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus menunjukkan bahwa ketiga formula spray gel perasan jeruk nipis masih memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Formula 3 dengan konsentrasi karbopol 1% memiliki aktivitas antibakteri paling besar ditandai dengan diameter daya hambat yang lebih besar dibanding kedua formula lainnya, tetapi secara fisik tidak lebih baik dibandingkan kedua formula lainnya. Formula 3 memiliki nilai viskositas dengan rentang 28.000-32.000 cps, pH dengan rentang 5,5-5,6, waktu kering dengan rentang 619-699 detik, dan daya sebar dengan rentang 3,08- 3,76 cm.;---A formulation of spray gel lime juice (Citrus aurantiifolia [Christm.] Swingle) as an antibacterial from decubitus complication has been conducted. In this research, three spray gel lime juice formulas were produced, namely formula 1, formula 2, and formula 3 with various carbopol concentrations of 0,5%; 0,75%; 1% respectively. The evaluation on spray gel included organoleptic, determination of pH, viscosity, dispersion, spray conditions, inherent resistance, dry time, and antibacterial activity of gel spray. The antibacterial activity of Staphylococcus aureus showed that the lime juice gel spray formula have antibacterial activity. Formula 3 with a 1% carbopol concentration has the greatest antibacterial activity that can be characterized by greater inhibition zone diameter than the other two formulas. However, the physical characteristic of formula 3 was not better than the other two formulas. Formula 3 has a viscosity value in range of 28.000-32.000 cps, pH in range of 5,5-5,6, dry time in range of 619-699 seconds, and spreadability in range of 3,08- 3,76 cm.
