Abstract
Etil p-metoksinamat (EPMS) merupakan senyawa hasil isolat dari kencur (Kaempferia galanga L.) yang memiliki khasiat sebagai antiinflamasi. Kristal EPMS dalam bentuk murninya tidak larut dalam air, sedangkan kelarutan obat memainkan peranan penting dalam penentuan khasiat dan aktivitas dari obat. Penelitian terdahulu telah dilakukan pembuatan ko-kristalisasi dari EPMS dengan koformer asam sitrat dengan menggunakan metode LAG (Liquid assited grinding) tetapi belum diuji disolusinya. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan uji disolusi partikulat dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh data mengenai profil disolusi EPMS. Alat disolusi (Flight RC-3) yang digunakan adalah tipe II atau tipe dayung (padlle). Media disolusi yang digunakan adalah dapar HCl pH 1,2; dapar asetat pH 4,5; dan dapar fosfat pH 6,8 masing-masing sebanyak 900 mL pada temperatur 37 ± 0,5oC dengan kecepatan putaran pengadukan 75 rpm. Hasil profil disolusi partikulat ko-kristal EPMS-asam sitrat dari rata-rata rasio yang digunakan pada dapar HCl pH 1,2; dapar asetat pH 4,5; dan dapar fosfat pH 6,8 berturutturut 32 %; 31,3 %; dan 28,3 %. --- Ethyl p-methoxycinamate (EPMS) is a compound from kencur Kaempferia galanga L. which has anti-inflammatory properties. EPMS crystals in their pure form are insoluble in water, whereas drug solubility plays an important role in determining the efficacy and activity of a drug. Previous research has carried out the preparation of co-crystallization of EPMS with citric acid coformer using the LAG (Liquid assisted grinding) method, but the solution has not been tested. In this study, a particulate dissolution test was carried out in order to obtain data on the dissolution profile of EPMS. The dissolution device (Flight RC-3) used was type II or paddle type. The dissolution media used were HCl buffer pH 1,2; acetate buffer pH 4.5; and phosphate buffer pH 6.8 each of 900 mL at a temperature of 37 ± 0.5oC with a stirring rotation speed of 75 rpm. The dissolution profile of the EPMS-citric acid co-crystalline particulate from the average ratio used in HCl buffer pH 1.2; acetate buffer pH 4.5; and phosphate buffer pH 6.8, respectively 32 %; 31,3 %; and 28.3 %.
