Abstract
Antioksidan adalah senyawa yang dapat menginaktivasi dan menghambat prosesoksidasi dengan mengikat radikal bebas. Senyawa ini dapat diperolehdari beberapa bahan alam termasuk kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) dan lidah buaya (Aloe vera). Antioksidan dapat digunakkan sebagai bahanaktif sediaan kosmetik pelindung kulit, salah satunya adalah sediaan spray gel. Padapenelitian ini dibuat tiga formula sediaan spray gel yaitu formula 1, formula2, dan formula 3 dengan variasi konsentrasi kulit buah naga merah dan lidah buayaberturut-turut 1%, 3%, dan 5% sebagai zat aktif, dan dengan variasi karbopol berturut-turut 0,5%, 0,65%, 1% sebagai agen pembentuk gel. Evaluasi yangdilakukan terhadap sediaan spray gel diantaranya organoleptis, penetapanpH, viskositas, daya sebar, kondisi semprotan, waktu kering, sifat ketahanan melekat, dan pengujian aktivitas antioksidan sediaan spray gel. Uji aktivitas antioksidanmenunjukkan bahwa ketiga formula spray gel memiliki aktivitas antioksidandengan kategori sangat kuat. Formula 1 sebesar 49,12 µg/mL, formula 2 sebesar 41,14 µg/mL, formula 3 sebesar 40,52 µg/mL. Formula 2 memiliki hasil palingbaik karena memenuhi syarat evaluasi dengan nilai viskositas pada rentang 21.000- 24.000 cps, pH dengan rentang 5,4 - 5,6, waktu kering dengan rentang 7-8 menit, dan daya sebar dengan rentang 6,3 - 6,4 cm. --- Antioxidants are compounds that can inactivate and inhibit the oxidation processby binding to free radicals. This compound can be obtained fromseveral natural ingredients including the skin of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) andaloe vera (Aloe vera). Antioxidants can be used as active ingredients inskin- protective cosmetics, one of which is spray gel preparations. In this study, threespray gel preparations were made, namely formula 1, formula 2, and formula3with variations in the concentration of red dragon fruit peel and aloe vera, respectively 1%, 3%, and 5% as active substances, and with variations of carbopol. 0.5%, 0.65%, 1% respectively as a gelling agent. Evaluations carriedout on spray gel preparations included organoleptic, pH determination, viscosity, dispersibility, spray conditions, dry time, adhesion resistance properties, andtesting of the antioxidant activity of spray gel preparations. The antioxidant activity test showed that the three spray gel formulas had very strong antioxidant activity. Formula 1 is 49.12 µg / mL, formula 2 is 41.14 µg / mL, formula3is40.52 µg / mL. Formula 2 has the best results because it meets the evaluationrequirements with a viscosity value in the range of 21,000 - 24,000 cps, apHrange of 5.4 - 5.6, dry time with a range of 7-8 minutes, and spreadability intherange of 6.3 - 6 , 4 cm.
