Abstract
Suplemen JET-20 adalah suplemen kesehatan yang mengandung kombinasi isolat alfa-mangostin, piperin, kurkuminoid, metilsinamat, dan vitamin C yang mempunyai khasiat sebagai immunomodulator. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji toksisitas subkronis suplemen JET-20 pada hewan tikus Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) jantan dan betina dengan metode OECD 407. Pada penelitian ini tikus dikelompokkan menjadi enam kelompok uji, yaitu kelompok normal, kelompok uji dosis rendah (7,2 mg/kg BB), dosis sedang (500 mg/kg BB), dosis tinggi (1000 mg/kg BB), dan kelompok satelit dosis normal dan dosis tinggi (1000 mg/kg BB). Bahan uji diberikan selama 28 hari secara oral. Pemberian suplemen JET-20 terhadap hewan uji tidak menunjukkan gejala toksisitas maupun kematian. Hasil pengamatan histopatologi organ lambung, hati, jantung, limpa, ginjal dan paru-paru tidak menunjukkan kelainan. Dapat disimpulkan dari hasil kajian ini bahwa suplemen JET-20 aman untuk digunakan. --- JET-20 supplement is a health supplement that contains a combination of alphamangosteen isolate, piperine, curcuminoids, methyl cinnamate, and vitamin C which have immunomodulatory properties. The purpose of this study was to test the sub-chronic toxicity of JET-20 supplementation in male and female Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) rats using the OECD 407 method. In this study, rats were grouped into 6 test group, namely the normal group, the low dose test group (7,2 mg/kg BW), medium dose (500 mg/kg BW), high dose (1000 mg/kg BB), and normal dan high dose satellite groups (1000 mg/kg BW). The test material was given orally 28 days. The administration of JET-20 supplements to test animals did not show any signs of toxicity or death. Histopathological observations of the stomach, liver, heart, spleen, kidney, and lungs did not show any abnormalities. It can be concluded from the results of this study that JET-20 supplements are safe to use.
