Abstract
Bambu gombong (Gigantochloa pseudoarundinaceae) merupakan salah satu bambu yang dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi arang aktif dan memiliki peran sebagai detoksifikasi. Bambu gombong memiliki kandungan lignoselulosa yang berperan sebagai detoksifikasi. Detoksifikasi merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi kerusakan pada rambut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan hasil karakterisasi arang aktif yang memenuhi persyaratan SNI 06-3730-1995 dan untuk mendapatkan basis gel masker rambut yang stabil. Basis diformulasikan dalam bentuk gel masker rambut dengan konsentrasi gelling agent yang berbeda F1, F2, F3 adalah 3%, 6%, 9%. Basis F2 dengan viscolam 6% yang stabil dalam penyimpanan dan memenuhi persyaratan pH dan viskositas sehingga dipilih untuk dijadikan basis gel masker rambut. --- Gombong bamboo (Gigantochloa pseudoarundinaceae) is one of the bamboos that can be used as activated charcoal and has a detoxifying role. Gombong bamboo contains lignocellulose which acts as a detoxifier. Detoxification is one solution to overcome hair damage. This study aims to obtain the results of the characterization of activated charcoal that meets the requirements of SNI 06-3730-1995 and to obtain a stable gel base for hair masks. The base is formulated in the form of a hair mask gel with different concentrations of gelling agent F1, F2, F3 are 3%, 6%, 9%. The results of the three formulas showed that the base with 69% viscolam, namely formula 2, was stable in storage and met the pH and viscosity requirements, so it was chosen to be used as a hair mask gel base.
