Abstract
Suplemen JET-20 merupakan produk baru yang diformulasikan pengunaanya untuk membantu meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh, komposisinya terdiri dari isolat alfa- mangostin, kurkuminoid, piperin, metil sinamat dan vitamin C. Suatu produk baru perlu dilakukan kajian keamanan penggunaanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahu profil kadar glukosa darah pasca pemberian suplemen JET-20 selama 28 hari pada tikus galur wistar (Rattus norvegicus) dalam rangka uji toksisitas subkronis. Hewan uji (3/jenis kelamin/kelompok) diberikan bahan uji per oral dengan dosis 2,75 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg, 1000 mg/kg selama 28 hari, kecuali kelompok kontrol. Hasil menunjukan bahwa pemberian bahan uji selama 28 hari tidak menyebabkan munculnya gejala toksisitas ataupun kematian yang terjadi pada hewan uji dan tidak teramati adanya pengaruh terhadap kadar glukosa darah. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh tidak teramati adanya efek yang merugikan setelah pemberian suplemen JET-20 hingga dosis terbesar 1000 mg/kg. --- ET-20 supplement is a new product that is formulated to help increase the body's resistance, its composition consists of isolates of alpha-mangostin, curcuminoids, piperine, methyl cinnamate and vitamin C. A new product needs to be studied for its safety. This study aims to determine the profile of blood glucose levels after administration of JET-20 supplementation for 28 days in Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) strain rats in the context of subchronic toxicity test. Test animals (3/sex/group) were given the test material orally at a dose of 2.75 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg. 1000 mg/kg for 28 days, except for the control group. The results showed that the administration of the test material for 28 days did not cause symptoms of toxicity or death that occurred in the test animals and no effect was observed on blood glucose levels. Based on the results obtained, no adverse effects were observed after the administration of JET-20 supplements up to the largest dose of 1000 mg/kg.
