Abstract
Salah satu rempah yang dikenal di Indonesia adalah tanaman temu-temuan (Zingiberaceae) yang merupakan tanaman daerah tropis yang sangat berguna. Rimpang temu putih dipercaya secara empiris sebagai antiinflamasi, dapat menghambat pertumbuhan sel kanker, sakit gigi, batuk, radang kulit, dan sebagai antioksidan. Antioksidan merupakan senyawa yang dapat menghambat reaksi oksidasi dengan mengikat radikal bebas, akibatnya kerusakan sel dapat dihambat. Kulit merupakan organ penting tubuh yang melindungi bagian dalam tubuh dari berbagai gangguan salah satu nya dari panas. Tujuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan apakah rimpang temu putih dapat dijadikan sebagai sediaan hand and body lotion yang baik, dan juga untuk mengetahui beriza nilai aktivitas antioksidan yang didapatkan. Metode ekstraksi yang digunakan adalah maserasi degan pelarut etanol 96% selama 3 x 4 jam. Selanjutnya penelusuran review jurnal untuk rimpang temu putih dengan metode dpph. Hasil yang didapat Ekstrak Rimpang Temu Putih (Curcuma zedoria Rose) memiliki aktivitas antioksioksidan kuat dikarenakan kurang dari 100 µg/ml., sementara formulasi basis lotion dengan konsentrasi rimpang temu putih 0,5%, 1,5%, 2,5% yang memenuhi syarat seperti organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, iritasi --- One of the spices known in Indonesia is the herbaceous plant (Zingiberaceae) which is a very useful tropical plant, Intersection rhizomes of several types of plants are used as spices. White ginger rhizome is believed empirically as an anti- inflammatory, can inhibit the growth of cancer cells, toothache, cough, skin inflammation, and as an antioxidant. Antioxidants are compounds that can inhibit oxidation reactions by binding to free radicals, resulting in cell damage that can be inhibited. The skin is an important argan of the body that protects the inside of the body from various disturbances, one of which is from heat. The purpose of this study is whether the white ginger rhizome can be used as a good hand and body lotion preparation, and also to find out what the value of antioxidant activity is. The extraction method used is maceration with 96% ethanol solvent for 3 x 24 hours. The next step is to search for journal reviews for white ginger rhizomes using the dpph method. The results obtained that the white ginger Rhizome Extract had strong antioxidant activity because it was less than 100 g/ml, while the lotion formulation with consentratio 0,5%, 1,5%, 2.5% met the requirements such as organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, irritation
