Abstract
Suplemen JET-20 merupakan suplemen kesehatan yang mengandung kombinasi dari isolat alfa-mangostin, piperin, kurkuminoid, metil sinamat dan vitamin C yang mempunyai khasiat sebagai imunomodulator. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji keamanan subkronis suplemen JET-20 pada hewan tikus Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) jantan dan betina dengan metode OECD 408. Pada penelitian ini tikus dikelompokkan menjadi 5 kelompok uji, yaitu kelompok normal, kelompok uji dosis 2,75mg/Kgbb, 500mg/Kgbb, 1000 mg/Kgbb dan satelit 1000 mg/Kgbb. Bahan uji diberikan selama 28 hari secara oral. Pemberian suplemen JET-20 terhadap hewan uji tidak menunjukkan gejala toksisitas maupun kematian. Hasil pengamatan histopatologi organ lambung, hati, Jatung, limpa, ginjal dan paru-paru tidak menunjukkan kelainan. --- JET-20 is a health supplement containing a combination of alpha-mangostin Isolate, piperin, curcuminoids, methyl cinnamate and vitamin C which has a function as an immunomodulator agent. The purpose of this study was to verify the subchronie toxicity of JET-20 supplementation in male and female Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) using the OECD 408 method. In this study, rats were groups into 5 test groups, namely the normal group, the group at a dose of 2,75mg/kgBW, 500mg/kgBW, 1000 mg/kgBW and satellite of 1000mg/kgBW. The test material was given orally for 28 days. The results indicated that the administration of JET-20 supplements to text animals did not show any signs of toxycity or death. Hispathologycal observations of the stomach, liver, heart, spleen, kidney and lungs did not show any abnormalities.
