Abstract

Indonesia kaya akan tanaman obat bahan alam yang secara turun temurun telah digunakan sebagai ramuan obat bahan alam. Sukun dapat juga dimanfaatkan untuk pengobatan dan pencegahan penyakit. Potensi daun sukun sebagai obat bahan alam dapat mengubah paradigma dari yang selama ini hanya menjadi sampah dan pakan ternak, ternyata dapat dikembangkan menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Daun sukun dapat diolah menjadi teh herbal. Registrasi obat tradisional ini dilakukan guna untuk menghindari terjadinya penyalahgunaan bahan obat tersebut karena harus memperhatikan produk yang memenuhi persyaratan keamanan, mutu dan gizi obat yakni memiliki izin edar dari (BPOM). Tujuan penelitian Mengetahui keamanan dan mutu Teh herbal dengan kombinasi daun sukun (Artoscarpus altilis) rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn.) dan daun teh (Camelia sinensis) memenuhi syarat keamanan sesuai standar Peraturan Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) dan proses perizinan produk sebagai obat tradisional kategori Jamu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa produk telah melalui serangkaian pengujian dan evaluasi yang menunjukkan kepatuhan terhadap standar keamanan dan mutu hasil pengujian. Proses pendaftaran registrasi pada produk teh herbal sudah dilakukan pengumpulan sesuai dengan dokumen-dokumen registrasi. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa produk jadi teh herbal ini telah diuji sesuai standar keamanan yang ditetapkan olehBadan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM). Dan teh herbal ini telah melakukan serangkaian proses registrasi dan menunggu tahap evaluasi verifikasi. ----- Indonesia is rich in medicinal plants that have been traditionally used as natural remedies for generations. Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) leaves can also be utilized for the treatment and prevention of diseases. The potentialof breadfruit leaves as a natural medicine has the capacity to shift the current perception, where they have been considered merely as waste or animal feed, to being recognized as a product with high economic value. Breadfruit leaves can be processed into herbal tea. The registration of this traditional medicine is carried out to prevent the misuse of the medicinal ingredients by ensuring that the product meets the safety, quality, and nutritional standards required for obtaining distribution permits from the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM). The aim of this study is to assess the safety and quality of herbal tea made from a combination of breadfruit leaves (Artocarpus altilis), rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn.), and tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) to ensure compliance with BPOM standards and the licensing process for traditional medicine under the "Jamu" category. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results confirm that the product has undergone a series of tests and evaluations, demonstrating compliance with safety and quality standards. The registration process for the herbal tea product has been completed, with all required documents submitted. The conclusion indicates that this herbal tea product has been tested according to BPOM safety standards and is currently awaiting the evaluation and verification stage.
