Abstract
Masker gel peel-off dengan basis PVA, bahan gelling agent, humektan, in, pengawet dan pembawa. Secara keseluruhan. basis masker gel peel-off stabil selama penyimpanan. --- Arabica coffee is a coffee bean that is physically not intact or does not pass quality control. Defect coffee beans have compounds that have antibacterial activity so that they can be considered to be used as cosmetic products. The purpose of this study was to test the antibacterial activity of defect arabica coffee bean extract against Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria and to formulate a peel-off gel mask bate which is one of the products that has antibacterial activity. Peel-off gel mask with PVA base, gelling agent, humectant, preservative and carrier. The extraction method of Arabica defect coffee beans used wat maceration with 96% ethanol solvent for 3x24 hours. And the concentration of extract used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration was 30%, 35%. 20%, and 5% and followed by concentrations of 4%, 3%, 25%, and 15%. In the text to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration, the results obtained showed that (MIC) defective Arabica coffee bean extract with a concentration of 2% produced an inhibitory power of 2.034:1.43 mm in the weak category. The basic formulation uses three variations of HPMC gelling agent concentration, respectively, namely 25%, 2.5%, and 5%. The three bases did not experience organoleptic changes, good homogeneity, an increase in viscosity, a decrease in dispersion, no syneresis and a decrease in pH. Overall the peel-off gel mask base is stable during storage.
