Abstract
--- The JET-20 supplement is an oral tablet whose formula was designed by researchers at STFI, containing the active compounds mangostin, piperine, curcuminoids, methyl cinnamate, and vitamin C. This supplement has been shown to be efficacious for increasing body resistance, especially in patients suffering from various diseases, as well as viral infections such as in the case of HIV and COVID-19. This study aimed to conduct a quantitative analysis of the active compound content of mangostin in the JET-20 supplement tablet formula in in vitro plasmatic solution using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. The analysis has not shown the expected results. The extraction process from plasma solution became the main obstacle in recovering pure mangostin form for analysis by HPLC. Retention time is difficult to determine because there are still many endogenous plasmatic impurities that are carried away during extraction.
