Abstract
---- Incompatibility was an event where the drug did not mix physically or chemically, potentially causing pharmacological changes or other alterations. The purpose of this research was to obtain data on the potential incompatibility between curcumin isolate and excipients that functioned as lubricants and glidants in solid dosage formulations, including talc, magnesium stearate, and silica. The sample mixtures were analyzed physicochemically using the Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) method to analyze the thermal properties of the samples and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) to analyze the crystal structure of the samples. Based on the research results, curcumin, in the analysis of thermal properties using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and crystallinity analysis using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), did not show any significant changes that could indicate potential incompatibility with the excipients talc, magnesium stearate, and silica.
