Abstract

Mengkudu telah banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat sebagai obat tradisional, hal ini disebabkan karena baik secara empiris maupun hasil penelitain medis membuktikan bahwa dalam semua bagian tanaman mengkudu terkandung berbagai macam senyawa kimia yang berguna bagi kesehatan manusia. Penelitian sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa sumber bahan baku yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi kadungan metabolit sekunder dan aktivas farmakologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kadar total fenol, flavonoid, dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak air mengkudu dari Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur dan Jawa Tengah. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode infus, menggunakan pelarut air pada suhu 90oC selama 15 menit. Penetapan kadar total fenol, flavonoid dan aktivitas antioksidan dengan menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-vis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ekstrak air mengkudu dari Jawa Tengah memiliki kadar total fenol 14,28 (gGAE/100 g ekstrak), flavonoid 0,736 (gGAE/100 g ekstrak). Ketiga ekstrak mengkudu memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat dengan nilai IC50 <50 µg/mL.;---Morinda citrofolia has been widely consumed by the public as a traditional medicine, it is due to both empirically and the results of medical research proves that in all parts of the plant Morinda contains various chemical compounds that are useful for Human health. Previous studies have stated that different sources of raw materials may affect the cadent of secondary metabolites and pharmacological activation. The purpose of this research is to know the total levels of phenols, flavonoids, and antioxidant activities of water extracts from West Java, East Java and Central Java. Extraction is done by infusion method, using water solvent at 90oC for 15 minute. Determination of the total levels of phenols, flavonoids and antioxidant activity using UV-vis spectrophotometers. The results of the study showed a water extract from Central Java has a total rate of phenol 14.28 (gGAE/100 g extract), flavonoids 0.736 (gGAE/100 g extract). The three extracts of the Mengkudu have a very strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of < 50 μg/mL.
