Abstract

Hiperlipidemia merupakan salah satu faktor resiko terjadinya penyakit kardiovaskular yang terjadi akibat adanya meningkatan kadar lipid didalam tubuh. Kondisi ini menyebabkan produksi radikal bebas meningkat, salah satunya adalah Malondialdehid (MDA) yang dihasilkan dari proses peroksidasi lipid. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensi isolat andrografolid sebagai antioksidan dapat menurunkan kadar MDA di hati dengan objek penelitian tikus (Rattus norvegicus) dengan kondisi hiperlipidemia dengan metode colorimetric assay kit. Kadar MDA setelah diberikan andrografolid dengan variasi dosis terapi 2; 4; dan 6 mg/kg BB dibandingkan dengan kelompok tikus normal, tikus sakit, dan tikus dengan pemberian simvastatin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tikus yang diberikan andrografolid terjadi penurunan kadar MDA dalam hati tikus. Dosis terapi 3 dengan kadar andrografolid sebesar 6mg/kg BB merupakan dosis terbaik yang dapat menurunkan kadar MDA hati tikus hiperlipidemia, penurunan kadar MDA yang terjadi ialah sebesar 5,66%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa andrografolid memiliki kemampuan menurunkan kadar MDA pada hati tikus hiperlipidemia. --- Hyperlipidemia is one of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease that occurs due to increased lipid levels in the body. This condition causes the production of free radicals to increase, one of which is Malondialdehyde (MDA) which is produced from the process of lipid peroxidation. This study was conducted to determine the potential of andrographolide isolate as an antioxidant to reduce MDA levels in the liver with rat (Rattus norvegicus) as a research objects with hyperlipidemia conditions using colorimetric assay kit method.. MDA levels after andrographolide administration with therapeutic dose variation 2; 4; and 6 mg/kg body weight compared to normal rats, sick rats, and simvastatin-administered rats. The results showed that rats given andrographolide decreased MDA levels in the hearts of mice. Therapeutic dose 3 with andrographolide levels of 6 mg / kg body weight is the best dose that can reduce MDA levels in hyperlipidemic rat liverthe decrease in MDA levels that occur is 5,66%. Based on these results, it can be said that andrographolide has the ability to reduce MDA levels in the liver of hyperlipidemic rats.
