Abstract
Indonesia kaya akan tanaman herbal seperti daun kelor dan bunga rosella yang memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan mengevaluasi sediaan gummy ekstrak daun kelor, bunga rosella, dan kombinasinya yang memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode dekoktasi. Terhadap ekstrak kental, dilakukan skrining fitokimia serta uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan DPPH sebagai radikal bebas. Formulasi sediaan gummy terdiri dari ekstrak tunggal daun kelor, bunga rosela serta ekstrak kombinasi. Dari uji aktivitas antioksidan menunjukkan semua ekstrak memiliki potensi antioksidan sangat kuat. Hasil evaluasi sediaan gummy memiliki tekstur kenyal, warna dari oranye hingga merah tua, serta aroma dan rasa khas strawberry. Meskipun uji keseragaman bobot dan kelembaban belum memenuhi standar, karakteristik lainnya (pH, stabilitas, organoleptis dan uji tingkat kesukaan) menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji antioksidan dan evaluasi sediaan, kombinasi ekstrak daun kelor dan bunga rosella paling berpotensi dijadikan sebagai suplemen antioksidan alami dalam sediaan gummy yang disukai oleh berbagai kalangan. ------ Indonesia is rich in herbal plants such as moringa leaves and rosella flowers that have potential as natural antioxidants. This study aims to make and evaluate gummy preparations of moringa leaf extract, rosella flowers, and their combinations that have potential as antioxidants. Extraction was done by decoctation method. Phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity test using DPPH as free radical. The gummy preparation formulation consisted of single extracts of Moringa leaves, Roselle flowers and the combination extracts. The antioxidant activity test showed that all extracts have very strong antioxidant potential. The evaluation results of gummy preparations have a chewy texture, color from orange to dark red, and strawberry aroma and taste. Although the weight uniformity and moisture test did not meet the standards, other characteristics (pH, stability, organoleptic and favorability test) showed good results. Based on the results of antioxidant tests and preparation evaluation, the combination of moringa leaf extract and rosella flowers has the most potential to be used as a natural antioxidant supplement in gummy preparations that are favored by various groups.
