Abstract

Brazilin merupakan komponen utama yang terkandung dalam tanaman kayu secang yang memiliki rumus kimia C16H14O5. Senyawa brazilin diketahui memiliki banyak aktivitas farmakologis diantaranya yaitu antioksidan, antikonvulsan, antivirus, penghambat xantin oksidase, penghambat aldose reduktase, proteksi otak dan anti jerawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis isolat brazilin yang terabsorbsi dalam darah manusia menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan parameter uji validasi sudah memenuhi persyaratan pada uji akurasi sebesar 87-115%, presisi sebesar 0,005%; 0,006%; dan 0,002%, linearitas karena nilai (R2) = 1, LOD sebesar 45,167 mg/L dan LOQ sebesar 136,869 mg/L. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa isolat brazilin dapat dianalisis dengan sampel biologis darah dengan menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis karena nilai yang diperoleh dikatakan baik. --- Brazilin is the main component contained in the sappan wood plant which has the chemical formula C16H14O5. Brazilin compounds are known to have many pharmacological activities including antioxidants, anticonvulsants, antivirals, xanthine oxidase inhibitors, aldose reductase inhibitors, brain protection and anti acne. This study aims to analyze brazilin isolates absorbed in human blood using the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. The results of the research that has been done show that the validation test parameters have met the requirements for an accuracy test of 87-115%, a precision of 0.005%; 0.006%; and 0.002%, linearity because the value (R2) = 1, LOD of 45.167 mg/L and LOQ of 136.869 mg/L. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that brazilin isolates can be analyzed with biological blood samples using the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method because the values obtained are said to be good.
