Abstract

Dislipidemia dapat menyebabkan produksi radikal bebas yang berlebih dalam tubuh. Upaya untuk mencegah terjadinya produksi radikal bebas maka diperlukan pemberian antioksidan. Daun cincau hitam (Mesona palustris BL) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki kandungan antioksidan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan antioksidan untuk melawan radikal bebas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol daun cincau hitam pada hewan coba tikus dislipidemia terhadap aktivitas superoksida dismutase(SOD). Ekstraksi daun cincau hitam menggunakan etanol 96%. Tikus jantan sebanyak 24 ekor dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok, masing-masing 4 ekor. Kelompok kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, pembanding simvastasin dosis 0,9 mg/kg BB, ekstrak etanol daun cincau hitam dosis 200 mg/kg BB, 400 mg/kg BB, dan 600 mg/kg BB. Hewan uji diinduksi dengan pakan kaya lemak, asam kolat 75 mg/kg BB, propylthiouracil (PTU) 12,5 mg/kg BB dan kolesterol murni 200 mg/kg BB selama tiga minggu hingga kadar kolesterol pada hewan uji mengalami peningkatan, kecuali kontrol negatif. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan One Way Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol daun cincau hitam dengan dosis 600 mg/kg BB efektif dapat meningkatkan aktivitas SOD tikus Wistar (Ratus norvegicus) Jantan yang diinduksi pakan kaya lemak, karena nilai aktivitas SOD dosis tersebut mendekati nilai aktivitas SOD yang diberikan obat pembanding. --- Dyslipidemia can cause excess free radical production in the body. Efforts to prevent the production of free radicals require the provision of antioxidants. Black grass grass leaves (Mesona palustris BL) is a plant that contains antioxidants that can increase the ability of antioxidants to fight free radicals. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of giving ethanol extract of grass grass leaves in dyslipidemic rats on superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. Extraction of grass grass leaves using 96% ethanol. As many as 24 rats were divided into 6 groups, 4 each. Negative control group, positive control, comparison of simvastasin dose 0.9 mg / kg body weight, ethanol extract of grass grass leaves dose 200 mg / kg body weight, 400 mg / kg body weight, and 600 mg / kg body weight. Test animals were induced with fat-rich feed, 75 mg/kg body weight, propylthiouracil (PTU) 12.5 mg/kg body weight and pure cholesterol 200 mg/kg body weight for three weeks until cholesterol levels in test animals increased, except negative controls. The research data was analyzed using One Way Anova. The results showed that giving ethanol extract of grass grass leaves at a dose of 600 mg / kg body weight was effective in increasing the SOD activity of male Wistar rats (Ratus novergicus) induced by fat-rich feed, because the value of SOD activity at that dose was close to the value of SOD activity given by comparison drugs.
