Abstract

Neurodegeneratif adalah kerusakan progresif pada sel-sel otak dan sistem saraf pusat yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan fungsi kognitif. Isolat andrografolid memiliki potensi meningkatkan fungsi kognitif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas isolat andrografolid sebagai neuroprotektif dengan metode Radial Arm 8 Maze terhadap tikus jantan galur wistar yang diinduksi dengan AlCl3 (Aluminium Klorida) sebagai hewan model Alzheimer. Tikus dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok, yaitu: Kelompok normal hanya diberikan Na-CMC, kelompok negatif yang hanya diberi penginduksi tanpa diberi obat, kelompok positif diberi penginduksi kemudian diberikan obat pembanding citicoline dan kelompok uji varian dosis isolat andrografolid 2,5; 5; 7,5 mg/KgBB. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemberian isolat andrografolid dapat meningkatkan dan memperbaiki fungsi memori tikus setelah diinduksi dengan AlCl3 (Aluminium klorida). Data hasil uji kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menunjukan varian dosis 7,5 mg/KgBB yang paling tinggi dalam memperbaiki memori daya ingat. ----- Neurodegenerative is a progressive damage to brain cells and the central nervous system that can cause cognitive decline. Andrographolide isolate has the potential to improve cognitive function. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of andrographolide isolate with the Radial Arm 8 Maze method on male Wistar rats induced with AlCl3 (Aluminum Chloride) as an animal model of Alzheimer's. The rats were divided into 6 groups, namely: The normal group was only given Na-CMC, the negative group was only given an inducer without being given drugs, the Positive Group was given an inducer then given a comparison drug citicoline line and the test group was a variant dose of andrographolide isolate 2.5; 5; 7.5 mg / KgBW. The results of this study indicate that the administration of andrographolide isolate can improve and repair the memory function of rats after being induced with AlCl3 (Aluminum Chloride). The overall results showed that the dose of andrographolide isolate 7.5 mg / KgBW was the most effective in improving the memory of induced rats. The test result data was then analyzed statistically showing the highest dose variant of 7.5 mg/KgBW in improving memory power.
