Abstract

Tanaman pisang merupakan tanaman yang serbaguna, mulai dari akar sampai daun dapat dimanfaatkan oleh manusia. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya bahwa daun pisang tongka langit (Musa troglodytarum L.) dan kulit pisang tongka langit memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes dan Klebsiella pneumoniae. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar total fenol dan flavonoid ,aktivitas antibakteri dan konsentrasi hambat minimum (KHM) dari ekstrak etanol kulit dan buah pisang tongka langit terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes, Streptoccous mutans, Escherichia coli. Proses ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak etanol kulit dan buah pisang tongka langit ditentukan kadar total fenol dan total flavonoid menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dan penentuan KHM dilakukan menggunakan difusi Agar. Hasil ekstraksi menunjukkan bahwa rendemen ekstrak tertinggi diperoleh dari buah pisang tongka langit sebesar 75,24%. Hasil kadar total flavonoid dan fenol yang tertinggi terdapat pada kulit pisang. Uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan ekstrak etanol kulit pisang Tongka Langit dapat menghambat ketiga bakteri uji dengan kategori sedang, sedangkan buah tidak memiliki aktivitas. Nilai KHM yang paling kecil ditunjukkan pada bakteri Propionibacterium acnes sebesar 15%. --- Banana plants are versatile plants, from roots to leaves can be used by humans. Based on previous research, the leaves of the Tongka Langit banana (Musa troglodytarum L.) and the Tongka Langit banana peel have antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes and Klebsiella pneumoniae. This study aims to determine the total phenol and flavonoid levels, antibacterial activity and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the ethanol extract of the skin and fruit of Tongka Langit banana against Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes, Streptoccous mutans, Escherichia coli. The extraction process was carried out by maceration method using 96% ethanol as solvent. The ethanol extract of the peel and tongka sky banana fruit was determined by the total phenol and total flavonoid content using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Antibacterial activity test and MIC determination were carried out using agar diffusion. The extraction results showed that the highest extract yield was 75.24% of the Tongka Langit banana fruit. The highest total flavonoids and total phenols content were found in banana peels. The antibacterial activity showed that the ethanol extract of the Tongka Langit banana peel could inhibit against three tested bacteria with moderate category, while the fruit has no activity. The smallest MIC value was shown in the Propionibacterium acnes bacteria by 15%.
