Abstract
Hesperidin merupakan glikosida flavanon terdiri dari hesperitin dan rutinosa. Hisperidin dapat ditemukan di berbagai jenis jeruk, kandungan terbesar terdapat pada kulit buah. Hesperidin memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga tekanan osmotik normal pembuluh darah, dapat mengurangi kolesterol, memiliki fungsi antivirus, terapi penyakit kardiovaskular, antijamur, antioksidan, mencegah asterosklerosis dan infark miokard. Kandungan hesperidin dalam kulit buah jeruk dapat dianalisis dengan berbagai macam metode diantaranya Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT), Spektrofotometer UV-Vis, Kromatografi Lapis Tipis Kinerja Tinggi (KLTKT) dan Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi (KCKT). Pada penelitian ini dilakukan review jurnal mengenai penetapan kadar hesperidin dari beberapa varietas jeruk. Metoda analisis yang paling umum digunakan dan memiliki tingkat akurasi yang baik adalah KCKT dengan menggunakan fase diam C18 dan diukur pada suhu 27oC dengan λmax 280 nm. Kadar hesperidin tertinggi terdapat pada kulit buah jeruk mandarin dengan konsentrasi 72 mg/g dan untuk jus jeruk kadarnya sebesar 219,9 mg/L. --- Hesperidin is a flavanone glycoside consisting of hesperetin and routines. Hesperidin can be found in various types of oranges, the largest content is in the skin of the fruit. Hesperidin has an important role in maintaining the normal osmotic pressure of blood vessels, can reduce cholesterol, has antiviral functions, cardiovascular disease therapy, antifungal, antioxidant, prevents atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction. The content of hesperidin in citrus fruit peels can be analyzed by various methods including Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), UVVis Spectrophotometer, High-Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC), and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). In this study, a journal review was conducted regarding the determination of hesperidin levels from several citrus varieties. The analytical method most commonly used and has a good degree of accuracy is HPLC using a stationary phase C18 and measured at a temperature of 27oC with λmax 280 nm.
