Abstract
Sawo walanda (Pouteria campechiana (Kunth.) Baehni.) merupakan tanaman tropis yang memiliki kandungan senyawa fenol yang menjadi acuan untuk mendapatkan nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF). Tujuan dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui nilai SPF dari Sawo walanda dengan menggunakan sampel biji, daging buah, daun dan ranting. Ekstraksi yang digunakan menggunakan sokletasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Fraksinasi dilakukan terhadap ekstrak bagian tumbuhan yang paling berpotensi menggunakan metode ekstraksi cair-cair (ECC) dengan pelarut yang berbeda yaitu n-heksana, etil asetat dan akuadest. Skrining fitokimia dilakukan terhadap keempat ekstrak dan fraksi ekstrak terpilih yang dihasilkan. Terhadap keempat ekstrak etanol dilakukan uji pendahuluan penentuan nilai SPF yang dilakukan dengan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Didapatkan hasil pada konsentrasi 1000 bpj memiliki nilai SPF ekstrak biji 1,836; ekstrak daging buah 1,004; ekstrak daun 16,018; ekstrak ranting 6,566. Ekstrak daun memiliki potensi nilai SPF yang paling baik. Fraksi ekstrak daun memiliki nilai SPF pada konsentrasi 1000 bpj fraksi n-heksana 1,586; fraksi etil asetat 4,755; fraksi akuadest 6,288. Ekstrak etanol daun memiliki kandungan golongan metabolit sekunder flavonoid, fenolat, terpenoid, alkaloid, saponin, steroid dan triterpenoid. Pada fraksi akuadest mengandung flavonoid, fenolat, terpenoid, alkaloid, dan saponin. Ekstrak etanol dan fraksi aku --- Sawo walanda (Pouteria campechiana (Kunth.) Baehni.) is a tropical plant that contains phenolic compounds which are the reference for obtaining the value of Sun Protection Factor (SPF). The purpose of this study was to determine the SPF value of Sawo walanda by using samples of seeds, fruit flesh, leaves and twigs. The extraction used was soxhletation with 96% ethanol as solvent. Fractionation was carried out on the extracts of the most potent plant parts using the liquid-liquid (ECC) extraction method with different solvents, namely n-hexane, ethyl acetate and akuadest. Phytochemical screening was carried out on the four extracts and the selected extract fractions produced. For the four ethanol extracts, a preliminary test to determine the SPF value was carried out using the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. The results obtained at a concentration of 1000 bpj have an SPF value of seed extract 1.836; fruit pulp extract 1,004; leaf extract 16,018; twig extract 6,566. Leaf extract has the best potential SPF value. Leaf extract fraction has SPF value at concentration of 1000 bpj n-hexane fraction 1.586; ethyl acetate fraction 4.755; akuadest fraction 6,288. The ethanolic extract of the leaves contains secondary metabolites of flavonoids, phenolics, terpenoids, alkaloids, saponins, steroids and triterpenoids. The akuadest fraction contains flavonoids, phenolics, terpenoids, alkaloids, and saponins. The ethanol extract and the akuadest fraction of the leaves have the potential to be developed as sunscreen raw materials.
