Abstract

Suplemen Kesehatan JET-20 adalah formula baru hasil penelitian para dosen ahli STFI yang terdiri dari kombinasi isolat piperin, mangostin, kurkumin, vitamin C, dan metil sinamat sebagai suplemen peningkat daya tahan tubuh. Kegunaan yang didapat berpotensi menjadi salah satu formula herbal yang praktis dan aman untuk masyarakat luas Formulasi yang baru perlu dilakukan kajian keamanan penggunaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menguji keamanan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak efek teratogenisitas terhadap hewan uji pada tikus betina galur Sprague Dawley. Pada penelitian ini, tikus dibagi kedalam 4 kelompok yang terdiri dari kelompok kontrol negatif, kelompok uji dosis 7,2 mg/kg bb, 500 mg/kg bb, 1000 mg/kg bb. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian bahan uji pengaruh Suplemen JET 20 pada induk tikus bunting, tidak teramati adanya toksisitas kematian, abortus ataupun kelahiran prematur. Sedangkan pada fetus tidak teramati adanya fetus yang mati ataupun terjadinua reasorpsi teramati fetus yang mengalami kelainan organ induknya diberi bahan uji 7,2 mg, sedangkan pada dosis lainnya tidak. Kelainan malformasi eksternal berupa mikroamelia dan limbs defect ditemukan pada kelompok dosis 7,2 mg/kg bb. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Suplemen JET 20 menimbulkan efek teratogenik terhadap fetus tikus betina yang diberikan selama masa organogenesis. --- The JET-20 Health Supplement is a new formula researched by STFI expert lecturers consisting of a combination of isolates of piperine, mangosteen, curcumin, vitamin C, and methyl cinnamate as an immune-boosting supplement. The benefits obtained have the potential to become one of the herbal formulas that are practical and safe for the wider community. The purpose of this study was to test the safety to determine whether or not there was a teratogenicity effect on test animals on female rats of the Sprague Dawley strain. In this study, rats were divided into 4 groups consisting of a negative control group, a test group at a dose of 7.2 mg/kg bw, 500 mg/kg bw, 1000 mg/kg bw. The results showed that the administration of the test material for the effect of JET 20 Supplement on pregnant rats, did not observe any toxicity of death, abortion or premature birth. Meanwhile, in the fetus, it was not observed that any dead fetuses or resorption occurred. Fetuses with abnormalities in their mother's organs were given 7.2 mg of the test material, while at other doses it was not. External malformations such as microamelia and limbs defects were found in the dose group of 7.2 mg/kg bw. It can be concluded that the administration of JET 20 Supplement caused a teratogenic effect on female rat fetuses administered during the organogenesis period..
