Abstract

Telah dilakukan optimasi basis dan formula sediaan spray gel dengan zat aktif isolat metil sinamat. Metil sinamat atau ester dari asam sinamat merupakan senyawa kimia yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui basis yang baik untuk sediaan spray gel dan formula yang baik secara fisik untuk dijadikan sediaan spray gel yang mengandung isolat metil sinamat. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pemilihan basis dengan variasi 3 gelling agent yang berbeda yaitu gelling agent HPMC gelling agent karbopol dan gelling agent CMC Na kemudian basis yang baik di tambahkan zat aktif isolat metil sinamat dengan evaluasi uji orgenoleptis, uji viskositas, uji pH dan uji kondisi semprotan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa formula yang baik yaitu gelling agent HPMC dibuat dengan konsentrasi 0,25%, dan penambahan zat aktif 43,33 ppm selama penyimpanan 28 hari telah memenuhi persyaratan evaluasi fisik meliputi uji organoleptis warna bau dan bentuk, uji viskositas, uji pH dan uji kondisi semprotan. --- Optimization of the base and formulation of the spray gel preparation with the active substance of methyl cinnamate isolate has been carried out. Methyl cinnamate or ester of cinnamic acid is a chemical compound that has antioxidant activity. This study aims to determine a good base for spray gel preparations and a physically good formula to be used as a spray gel preparation containing methyl cinnamate isolate. This study begins with the selection of a base with a variation of 3 different gelling agents, namely gelling agent HPMC gelling agent carbopol and gelling agent CMC Na, then a good base is added to the active substance isolated from methyl cinnamate by evaluating the organoleptic test, viscosity test, pH test and spray condition test. . The results showed that a good formula, namely gelling agent HPMC was made with a concentration of 0.25%, and the addition of the active substance 43.33 ppm for 28 days of storage had met the physical evaluation requirements including organoleptic tests, odor color and shape, viscosity tests, pH tests and spray condition test
