Abstract

Natrium diklofenak memiliki waktu paruh yang pendek sekitar 1-2 jam sehingga obat akan lebih cepat diekskresikan oleh tubuh. Oleh karena itu dibuat sediaan sustained release agar kadar obat dapat dipertahankan lebih lama di dalam tubuh. Pembuatan sediaan sustained release salah satunya dengan penambahan matriks. Matriks merupakan zat pembawa yang akan memperpanjang laju pelepasan obat. Pada penelitian ini telah dibandingkan beberapa jenis matriks pada sediaan tablet sustained release natrium diklofenak untuk mengetahui matriks mana dan pada konsentrasi berapa matriks tersebut dikatakan paling baik, dilihat dari hasil persen terdisolusi. Metode yang digunakan adalah review jurnal yaitu dengan membandingkan beberapa jurnal penelitian mengenai jen's matriks yang digunakan pada sediaan tablet sustained release natrium diklofenak: Hasil review didapatkan 6 jurnal penelitian mengenai jenis matriks pada tablet sustained release natrium diklofenak. Dari berbagai macam matriks tersebut, HPMC menghasilkan persen terdisolusi yang paling baik dibandingkan dengan matriks lainnya dan memenuhi persyaratan yang ada pada USP 41. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa HPMC dengan konsentrasi 40 mg merupakan matriks yang paling baik digunakan untuk tablet sustained release natrium diklofenak. --- Diclofenac sodium has a short half-life of about 1-2 hours so that the drug will be excreted more quickly by the body. Therefore, sustained release preparations are made so that drug levels can be maintained longer in the body. One of the ways to make sustained release preparations is by adding a matrix. The matrix is a carrier that will prolong the rate of drug release. In this study, several types of matrix were compared in the preparation of diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets to determine which matrix and at what concentration the matrix was said to be the best, seen from the results of percent dissolution. The method used is a journal review by comparing several research journals regarding the type of matrix used in diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets. The results of the review obtained 6 research journals regarding the type of matrix in diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets. From these various matrices, HPMC produced the best percent dissolution compared to other matrices and met the requirements of USP 41. From these results, it was concluded that HPMC with a concentration of 40 mg was the best matrix used for diclofenac sodium sustained release tablets.
